About the site

Author and maintainer: Vesa Lampinen

This is a fourth incarnation of KISS history site and made without gaining any financial profit. The information of this site is based on various sources whose were thought to be reliable by the author. The site’s purpose isn’t to compete in the amount of information but to offer it with a somewhat different look.

The site is build on the content management system WordPress (current version 6.0.3) and its responsiveness is made by using Bootstrap (version 5.2.2).

About sections

• HISTORY: This section lists events involving the band categorized to the separate decades. There has to be an exact date for the event so that is accepted to this section.
• MEMBERS: This section lists info concerning the band’s current members. If in some spot there is an entry “???” that means the info in question is unknown for the author. Those missing pieces of information are replenished when a somewhat reliable info is found. The members’ headshots should be as recent as possible.
• EX-MEMBERS: This section lists info concerning the band’s ex-members. The entry “???” means same as in the section “MEMBERS”. The ex-member’s headshot is as recent as possible but from the period when the ex-member still was in the band.
• DISCOGRAPHY: This section lists info about different releases categorized by their type.
• GIGS: This section lists the gigs the band has played per year, each year on its own page. Rehearsals, TV-broadcasts, private shows and cancelled gigs are not listed.
• BONUS: This section is meant to be purely entertaining. Currently the section contains an image gallery that exhibits so called fan-made KISS-images made by the author of this site (that’s me!).
